About
An installation on Wellington Harbour, New Zealand for Wellington LUX festival. The work explores shimmering light and the Japanese character ‘shima’ (meaning island). A networked field of washi flowers grows from a grey, plastic raft. Local stones form a Zen garden of sparse patterns. Flowers, working together as a mesh, ebb and flow with the light and movement of Wellington Harbour.

内容
Shima for Wellingtonは水面の反射光(Shimmer)と島(Shima)二つの言葉を掛けてできたパフォーマンス、光の展示作品です。和紙でできた花が水面から伸び咲き、その基盤にはウェリントン沖の石で水面の模様が描かれてます。花のLED光はウェリントンの水の波の動きにあわせて光の強弱を演出します。
